Healthful Tiffin Ideas
Every young mum suddenly reaches the tiffin or lunch box-fixing routine in her life. and you will have to be good at this, unless you want to fight a losing battle with corporations that make junk food. I have found that one solution is to incorporate variety and to invite your child to be a part of the process of deciding the limited menu.
serve up snacks in evening before they go down to play and ask them what they thought about it. if they liked it ask if they will take it in their tiffin boxes. here are some easy-to-make recipes that are tasty and healthy too.

Fruit pizza

Preparation time: 16 min
Ingredients
1bar sponge cake or sweet
whole meal bread, sliced into 3/4 inch thick slices
1 cup thick curd
4 tsp honey
2 cups assorted fresh fruit (could include apples, bananas, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi fruit, oranges, sweet lime, mangoes)
1 cup almonds skinned and toasted.
Method
Line a sleve or small colander with a clean muslin cloth and suspend over a bowl. place yoghurt in lined sleve, cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours. remove from refrigerator. discard liquid and transfer yoghut into a small bowls. Stir in2 teaspoons honey, mix well and chill untill required, spread yoghut mixture.evenly over sliced cake and arrange fruit on top if you like. sprinkle with toasted almonds flakes. you could cover this with a slice of bread to make a fruit sandwich for easy packing.

Vegetable mix sprout cutlets

These cutlets are rich in protein vitamin C  and fiber, and since they are not fried but baked, they keep a check on your fat intake.
ingredients
1 cup of mixed legume spouts like moong, matki, channa (soaked, rosted or seasoned) you may use boiled soya granules instead of the sprouts.
i potato (boiled, peeled, and partly mashed)
1 onion (finely chopped)
1 green chilli ( finely chopped)
i carrot (grated)
salt, chilli powder, chaat masala powder, lemon juice (as per your taste)
A handful of coriander leaves (chopped)
whole wheat flour (for the final touch) 4 teaspoons oil.
Method
Mix all ingredients except the wheat flour in a bowl.
Make a rolls or cutlet of desired shape using the better obtained. coat these in wheat flour. line baking tray with aluminum foil grease it with a tittle oil.
Place cutlets, leaving space between them, as they swell slightly on baking.
brush cutlets with a little oil on the top, bake at 150-180c  for about 20-30 min, till done, Serve with green chatney
